HRPL gets $500,000 interest-free sponsor funding

July 14, 2026 (MLN): Habib Rice Products Limited (PSX: HRPL) has approved obtaining an unsecured, interest-free loan of up to $500,000 from its sponsor shareholder, Mr. Gaffar A. Habib, to strengthen the company's liquidity position and meet its working capital requirements.

According to a notice issued to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the Board of Directors, in its meeting held on July 14, 2026, approved obtaining an unsecured loan in an aggregate amount of $500,000 (United States Dollars Five Hundred Thousand Only), equivalent in Pakistani rupees at the US$/PKR exchange rate prevailing on the date of disbursement, from the company's sponsor shareholder, Mr. Gaffar A. Habib.

The company said the loan will be interest-free and repayable upon the lender's request, with the mutual consent of the parties, subject to the company's assessment of the availability of sufficient cash flows at the time of repayment.

HRPL further informed that the repayment amount will be made in equivalent Pakistani rupees based on the US$/PKR exchange rate prevailing on the date of actual repayment.

The company said the financing is expected to strengthen its liquidity position and support its working capital requirements.
