Govt to construct ten dams to overcome looming threat of water scarcity in country: PM

May 31, 2021: Prime Minister Imran Khan says the country’s projected growth rate at more than 4 percent would spur economic activities in the country, provide job opportunities and reduce price hike.  

Responding to public queries during a live TV programme ‘Aapka Wazir-e-Azam Aap kai Sath’, he said the tax collection by the Federal Board of Revenue was also historic, as about Rs4,045billion tax was collected.

Responding to a query, the Prime Minister said the government would construct ten dams to overcome the looming threat of water scarcity and global warming. 

He said along with construction of these dams, a telemetry system would be made fully functional to ensure just water distribution among provinces.
