Govt slashes total budget outlay by 7% to Rs17.57tr

June 10, 2025 (MLN): The total budget outlay for FY2025–26 is estimated at Rs17.57 trillion during the budget FY25-26 speech, reflecting a 6.91% decrease from the previous year’s outlay of Rs18.877tr.

In contrast, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has been assigned an ambitious revenue target of Rs14.13tr, marking an 18.74% increase from last year.

The federal non-tax revenue is projected at Rs5.14tr, while the net federal revenue—after provincial transfers—is estimated at Rs11.07tr.
