August 06, 2026 (MLN): The Government of Pakistan has reappointed Rehmat Ali Hasnie as President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) for a period of two weeks, effective August 7, 2026, or until the new President/CEO assumes office, whichever is earlier.

According to a notification issued by the Finance Division on August 6, 2026, the reappointment will remain effective for two weeks or until the appointment of a new President/CEO, whichever occurs first.
