Govt increases petrol price by Rs6.39, diesel by Rs7.83

July 22, 2026 (MLN): The federal government has increased the petrol price by Rs6.39 per litre to Rs327.12, and the price of High-Speed Diesel (HSD) by Rs7.83 per litre to Rs375.04, effective July 23, 2026.

According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division), the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) revised the ex-depot prices of petroleum products based on the revised petroleum pricing mechanism issued by the federal government.

Previously, the ex-depot price of petrol (Motor Spirit) stood at Rs320.73 per litre, while HSD was priced at Rs367.21 per litre.
