Govt hikes petrol by Re1.09, HSD by Rs2.42 per Litre

July 30, 2026 (MLN): The government has raised the price of petrol by Rs1.09 per litre, bringing it up to Rs336.15, while High Speed Diesel (HSD) has been raised by Rs2.42 per litre to Rs393.04, effective July 31, 2026.

According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division), the revised ex-depot prices have been notified by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), based on the pricing mechanism issued by the federal government.

Under the prevailing mechanism, OGRA computes and notifies petroleum prices on a daily basis.
