Govt cuts petrol price by Rs3.39, HSD by Rs4.07

August 04, 2026 (MLN): The government has reduced the price of petrol by Rs3.39 per litre, bringing it down to Rs328.56, while High Speed Diesel (HSD) has been reduced by Rs4.07 per litre to Rs385.86, effective August 5, 2026.

According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division), the revised ex-depot prices have been notified by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), based on the pricing mechanism issued by the federal government.

Under the prevailing mechanism, OGRA computes and notifies petroleum prices on a daily basis.
