Govt cuts petrol price by Rs0.75, raises HSD by Rs2.24 per litre

July 29, 2026 (MLN): The government has reduced the price of petrol by 75 paisa per litre, bringing it down to Rs335.06, while High Speed Diesel (HSD) has been raised by Rs2.24 per litre to Rs390.62, effective July 30, 2026.

According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division), the revised ex-depot prices have been notified by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), based on the pricing mechanism issued by the federal government.

Under the prevailing mechanism, OGRA computes and notifies petroleum prices on a daily basis.
