Govt allocates Rs33bn for uplift of agriculture sector: SAPM

June 21, 2021: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Food Security Jamshed Iqbal Cheema says the government has allocated funds of 33 billion rupees for the uplift of the agriculture sector.
Talking to newsmen in Lahore yesterday (Sunday), he said that new dams are being constructed and the canal system is being upgraded to bring more area under cultivation.
He said so far 4.1 million olive trees have been planted in the country.
