Gold price in Pakistan falls Rs1,500 per tola

August 22, 2025 (MLN): Gold price in Pakistan decreased on Friday, with 24-karat gold being sold at Rs355,700 per tola, down Rs1,500.

Similarly, 24-karat gold per 10-gram was sold at Rs304,955 after a decline of Rs1,286, according to rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

The price of 22-karat gold was also quoted lower at Rs279,552 per 10-gram.

 

On the other hand, silver prices remained unchanged in the domestic market, with 24-karat silver being sold at Rs4,013 per tola and Rs3,440 per 10-gram.

Globally, spot gold traded near $3,329 an ounce, down $9.4 or 0.28% from the previous session.

 Gold prices edged lower on Friday on a stronger dollar while investors awaited U.S. Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell's speech at the annual Jackson Hole symposium that could offer fresh clues on the monetary policy path.
