Gold nears Rs400,000 per tola

September 23, 2025 (MLN): Gold soared to new heights in Pakistan on Tuesday, with 24-karat gold glittering at Rs398,800 per tola after a remarkable jump of Rs5,100.

Similarly, 24-karat gold per 10-gram was sold at Rs341,906 after a gain of Rs4,372, according to rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

The price of 22-karat gold was also quoted higher at Rs313,425 per 10-gram.

Similarly, silver prices rose in the domestic market, with 24-karat silver being sold at Rs4,637 per tola (+Rs42) and Rs3,975 per 10-gram (+Rs36).

Globally, spot gold traded near $3,779 an ounce, up $31.6 or 0.84% from the previous session.

Gold prices steadied positively on Tuesday after touching a fresh record high, supported by expectations of further U.S. interest rate cuts and a softer dollar, as investors awaited Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell’s remarks for policy direction.
