Gold breaks Rs550,000 per tola barrier in Pakistan

January 28, 2026 (MLN): Gold price in Pakistan increased on Wednesday, with 24-karat gold being sold at record Rs551,662 per tola, jumps by Rs21,100.

Similarly, 24-karat gold per 10-gram was sold at Rs472,961 after a gain of Rs18,090, according to rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

The price of 22-karat gold was also quoted higher at Rs433,563 per 10-gram.

Similarly, silver prices rose in the domestic market, with 24-karat silver being sold at Rs11,911 per tola (+Rs271) and Rs10,211 per 10-gram (+Rs232).

Globally, spot gold traded near $5,303 an ounce, up $132.2 or 2.56% from the previous session, as the U.S. dollar weakened sharply and geopolitical uncertainty continued to fuel safe-haven demand ahead of a key Federal Reserve policy announcement.
