November 28, 2025 (MLN): Ghandhara Industries Limited (PSX: GHNI) has entered into a strategic partnership with China’s Zhongtong Bus Holding Co. Ltd. to introduce luxury buses in Pakistan, according to a material disclosure filed with the Pakistan Stock Exchange on Friday.
The collaboration includes both the distribution of Completely Built-Up (CBU) buses and the local assembly of Zhongtong models, marking a major expansion in the company’s commercial vehicle portfolio.
Under the agreement, Ghandhara will establish a new bus manufacturing line alongside its existing bus body fabrication facility to locally assemble Zhongtong buses.
The company expects to roll out CBU luxury buses in the first quarter of 2026, while local production is targeted to begin by mid-2026, subject to regulatory approvals and completion of plant expansion.
The partnership is expected to broaden Ghandhara’s offerings in the intercity and premium transport segment and contribute to the company’s long-term growth as Pakistan’s demand for high-capacity passenger transport continues to rise.
