GIS Sukuk trading resumes from June 11

June 10, 2026 (MLN): The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has declared the resumption of trading in 3 & 5 Year Fixed Rental Rate (FRR) and 10 Year Variable Rental Rate (VRR) Government Ijarah Sukuk (GIS) issue dated December 11, 2025, effective Thursday, June 11, 2026.
The declaration came in reference to PSX Notice dated June
01, 2026, which had suspended trading in the GIS issue re: Rental payment.
The instrument shall henceforth be tradable based on revised
profit rates. The 10 Year Variable Rental Rate GIS maturing on December 11,
2035, carries a net profit rate currently applicable of 10.6800%.
Based on the latest 6-Month Weighted Average Yield of
12.4003% (as of May 20, 2026) and a spread of -32.00 bps as per the December
10, 2025 auction, the revised net profit rate applicable from June 11, 2026
till December 11, 2026 stands at 12.0803%.
All concerned market participants have been requested to
note the above and make necessary revisions accordingly.
