September 17, 2026 (MLN): Ghandhara Industries Limited (PSX: GHNI) reported a 51% surge in its net profit for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2026, reaching Rs6.93bn compared to Rs4.58bn in the preceding year.

Alongside the financial results, the board recommended a final cash dividend of Rs12 per share.

Reflecting this robust bottom-line expansion, basic and diluted earnings per share (EPS) for the year expanded to Rs162.57, up from Rs107.58 in FY25.

The primary catalyst behind the performance was strong top-line revenue growth combined with a 54% expansion in gross margins.

Net sales surged 62% year-on-year to Rs60.66bn, up from Rs37.46bn in FY25. Although cost of sales expanded 64% to Rs46.62bn, strong volume gains enabled gross profit to expand to Rs14.04bn compared to Rs9.09bn in the prior year.

On the operational front, overheads expanded to support higher commercial scale.

Distribution costs rose 15% to Rs2.15bn, administrative expenses grew 43% to Rs945.97m, and other expenses increased 25% to Rs618.86m.

However, operational gains were heavily boosted by a surge in "other income" (Rs1.17bn), driving profit from operations up 76% to Rs11.49bn.

Below the operating line, GHNI benefited from controlled debt-servicing outlays. Finance costs fell 9% to Rs81.52m (down from Rs89.80m in FY25).

Driven by core gross margin strength and secondary income expansion, profit before income taxation jumped 77% to Rs11.41bn.

The company absorbed a 140% higher corporate taxation charge of Rs4.49bn for the year (up from Rs1.87bn in FY25).

Supported by 62% top-line revenue growth, expanded gross margins, and a 147% boost in other income, Ghandhara Industries Limited securely closed the fiscal year with its net profit reaching Rs6.93bn.
