Aurangzeb urges overseas Pakistanis to invest via RDA platform

April 15, 2026 (MLN):  Pakistan continues to strengthen engagement with its overseas community as part of broader efforts to enhance foreign inflows and economic stability, with renewed focus on investment channels and remittance growth.

Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, addressed the Roshan Digital Account (RDA) and Remittance Roadshow  Pakistan Diaspora Leaders’ Evening, held at the Embassy of Pakistan in Washington, D.C., with the support of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and the Pakistan Banks’ Association (PBA).

The Finance Minister paid tribute to the significant contributions of the Pakistani diaspora, describing overseas Pakistanis as a key pillar of the country’s external economic resilience, according to a press release issued.

He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to the Roshan Digital Account (RDA) initiative, noting that even during the peak of Pakistan’s balance of payments crisis when foreign exchange reserves had dropped to critical levels no restrictions were imposed on RDA deposits.

Highlighting recent improvements, he welcomed the introduction of new features that expand investment opportunities for account holders and encouraged expatriates to actively invest in Pakistan through the RDA platform.
