Finance Minister , Deutsche Bank map out financing strategy, capital market access

October 16, 2026 (MLN): Pakistan plans to diversify its financing through Sukuk, rupee-denominated dollar-settled bonds and possible Eurobond tokenization.

Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has told Deutsche Bank delegation, while welcoming the bank’s interest in advising on the privatisation of power distribution companies and major airports.

The Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Aurangzeb, met the delegation on the sidelines of the World Bank Group-IMF Annual Meetings 2026 to discuss Pakistan’s economic progress and financing strategy, according to a press release issued.

He pointed to improvements in macroeconomic stability, foreign exchange reserves, sovereign ratings and investor confidence.

He also reviewed the country’s return to international capital markets through a private placement, Panda bonds and Eurobonds.

The minister appreciated Deutsche Bank’s longstanding presence in Pakistan and encouraged broader corporate engagement and support for foreign portfolio inflows.

The talks also covered debt management, currency diversification and investor outreach in Europe and other international markets.
