April 14, 2026 (MLN): Pakistan and the United States signalled renewed momentum in trade and investment ties as Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb met with U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer on the sidelines of the World Bank–IMF Spring Meetings in Washington.

Finance Minister highlighted the need to deepen economic engagement through stronger trade flows and increased investment, pointing to Pakistan’s efforts to create a more business-friendly environment and improve market access.

Talks focused on expanding export opportunities, facilitating capital inflows, and strengthening commercial linkages between the two countries, reflecting a broader push to reinforce bilateral economic cooperation.

Both sides noted steady progress in ongoing trade negotiations and welcomed the positive trajectory in economic engagement.

This indicated a shared commitment to delivering mutually beneficial outcomes and supporting long-term growth.
