July 21, 2026 (MLN): Fertilizer consumption in
Pakistan recorded a mixed performance in June 2026, as overall nutrient offtake
declined by 8.9% year-on-year to 373,000 tonnes, according to the Monthly
Fertilizer Review released by the National Fertilizer Development Centre (NFDC).
In June, urea offtake stood at 592,000 tonnes, registering
an increase of 1.6% compared to the same month last year. DAP consumption,
however, decreased sharply by 58.9% to 48,000 tonnes.
Nutrient-wise, nitrogen offtake decreased by 0.8%, phosphate
by 46.8%, while potash offtake increased by 19.6%.
