FY2026-27 Budget set for June 12

June 09, 2026 (MLN): Pakistan's federal budget for fiscal year 2026-27 is set to be presented on June 12, as the government prepares to lay out its revenue and expenditure plan for the coming year.

The date is pushed back from the originally scheduled June 10, according to sources close to the matter.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a meeting with leading industrialists and corporate leaders, last week, ahead of the budget announcement to gather private-sector input for the upcoming fiscal plan.

Discussions centred on measures to accelerate economic activity, attract investment, and enhance exports, with the prime minister indicating that business community recommendations would be incorporated into the budget.

The budget is expected to outline the government's strategy on revenue mobilization, development spending, and structural reforms for the year ahead.
