October 26, 2026 (MLN): Frieslandcampina Engro Pakistan
Limited (PSX: FCEPL) reported a 3x surge in its net profit for the nine
months ended September 30, 2026 (9MCY26), reaching Rs6.46bn compared to Rs2.09bn
in the corresponding period last year.
Reflecting this explosive bottom-line
expansion, basic and diluted earnings per share (EPS) for the nine-month period
rose to Rs8.43, up from Rs2.73 in 9MCY25.
For the third quarter (Q3CY26) alone,
net profit expanded 2.7x to Rs2.07bn (EPS of Rs2.69) compared to Rs773.80m
(EPS of Rs1.01) in Q3CY25.
The primary catalyst driving the
strong nine-month performance was a 35% expansion in gross profit
alongside a 58% reduction in finance costs.
Net revenue from contracts with
customers grew 10% to Rs88.36bn, up from Rs80.23bn in 9MCY25. With cost
of sales increasing modestly by 5% to Rs68.93bn, gross profit jumped to Rs19.42bn
compared to Rs14.39bn in the prior-year period.
On the operational front, distribution
and marketing expenses rose 19% to Rs6.84bn, while administrative
expenses were tightly managed, declining 4% to Rs1.43bn.
Other operating expenses expanded to Rs830.46m
(up from Rs502.09m). Supported by a 21% increase in "other income" (Rs346.21m
up from Rs286.31m), operating profit surged 53% to Rs10.67bn.
Below the operating line, FCEPL
achieved massive debt-servicing relief as finance costs tumbled 58% to
Rs462.23m (down from Rs1.10bn in 9MCY25). This reduced financial burden
pushed profit before income tax up 74% to Rs10.21bn.
The company absorbed a flat corporate
income tax charge of Rs3.74bn for the period (compared to Rs3.77bn in
9MCY25).
Backed by solid top-line revenue
growth, gross margin expansion, overhead discipline, and substantial
deleveraging savings, Frieslandcampina Engro Pakistan Limited securely closed
the nine-month period with its net profit reaching Rs6.46bn.
