administrative expenses remained well-controlled, edging up 3% to Rs3.83bn,
while selling and distribution costs rose 19% to Rs14.26bn.
Operating subtotal reached Rs33.34bn
(up 16%), with operational performance further supported by net gains on SIDC
remeasurement and subsidy receivables totaling Rs1.53bn.
Below the operating line, EFERT
absorbed higher debt-servicing burdens, with finance costs expanding 38% to
Rs5.69bn (up from Rs4.12bn in 9MCY25). Other operating expenses stood at
Rs2.48bn, while "other income" contributed Rs1.23bn, pushing profit
before taxation up 18% to Rs27.93bn.
The company absorbed a corporate
taxation charge of Rs11.68bn for the period (up 24% from Rs9.45bn in 9MCY25).
