ECC to review export subsidy, energy proposals today

July 27, 2026 (MLN): The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) is scheduled to meet today to consider a range of proposals related to exports, energy, petroleum and budgetary matters.

According to the agenda, the ECC will review the Export Finance Subsidy Schemes for Export Enhancement submitted by the Finance Division.

The committee will also consider a proposal from the Power Division seeking approval of a technical supplementary grant to meet expenses related to international arbitrations, along with a proposal regarding the adjustment of pensioners of GENCOs' closed power plants in DISCOs.

The Petroleum Division will present two summaries, including one on tight gas reserves and reservoir re-certification in respect of Rehman-4 ST3 under the Tight Gas (Exploration & Production) Policy, 2011, and another on the development of an LPG Air Mix Plant at Chitral.

In addition, the Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Division will seek approval of its budget proposal for FY2025-26 and revised budget estimates for FY2024-25.
