ECC approves launch of second phase of Ehsaas Emergency Cash: SAPM

June 14, 2021: Special Assistant of the Prime Minister of Pakistan on Poverty Alleviation and Social Protection Dr. Sania Nishtar says the Economic Coordination Committee of the Cabinet has approved the launch of second phase of the Ehsaas Emergency Cash.

She was talking to the masses during the second e-Kacheri of Ehsaas broadcast on Radio Pakistan's national hook up programme Raabta as well as on Facebook, on Sunday.

She said that, under the program, 12,000 rupees financial assistance would be provided to each of the 4 million additional households.

She replied to questions of live callers who phoned her from remote areas of country and provided information about Ehsaas programs and initiatives.

Replying a question about fake messages being circulated in the name of Ehsaas, Dr. Sania said Ehsaas has not introduced any online resource for Ehsaas registration. 

She encouraged listeners to report fake SMS complaints on Ehsaas programmes so that concerned authorities can take immediate action.
