Customs seizes Rs138mn worth of smuggled goods

December 09, 2025 (MLN): Customs Enforcement Quetta has seized smuggled goods valued at Rs138 million during a major anti-smuggling operation conducted on the outskirts of Quetta.

According to the press release, the Mobile Squad acted on credible intelligence shared by the Chief Collector of Enforcement in Islamabad and raided a warehouse with support from other law enforcement agencies.

The recovered items included assorted cloth, tyres, cigarettes, sheesha flavours, cashew nuts, and human hair, all valued at an estimated Rs138 million.

The goods have been taken into official custody, and legal proceedings under the Customs Act, 1969, have been initiated.

The operation forms part of the Collectorate’s intensified crackdown against smuggling networks and illicit trade in the region.

The FBR has commended the Quetta Enforcement team for its swift action and reiterated its commitment to eliminating smuggling and illegal trade across the country.
