Court dismisses TRG appeal against JS Bank

July 06, 2026 (MLN): The Honourable XIIth Additional District Judge/Model Civil Appellate Court, Karachi-South, has dismissed TRG Pakistan Limited's civil appeal against JS Bank Limited and other parties in a judgment dated July 1, 2026.

The court upheld its earlier order, which rejected TRG Pakistan's plaint in the civil suit under Order VII Rule 11 of the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908.

The case, titled "TRG Pakistan Limited & Others vs. Jahangir Siddiqui and Co. Ltd. & Others," pertained to litigation initiated by TRG Pakistan against JS Bank and other parties.

Previous disclosures on the matter include a PSX announcement dated December 5, 2025, regarding the order of the Honourable VIth Senior Civil Judge, Karachi-South, and a subsequent PSX disclosure by TRG on December 15, 2025, regarding its filing of Civil Appeal No. 376/2025.

The verdict validates the Bank's position that the claims brought against it were without legal merit, frivolous, and filed in bad faith.

The proceedings resulted in no adverse findings or instructions against the Bank, its parent organization, or its leadership.
