The 1300cc and above category, which includes Toyota Corolla, Yaris, Civic, City, Elantra, and Sonata, dominated sales in September.

Volumes surged 64% YoY to 6,224 units while cumulatively 3MFY26 sales reached 15,442 units, up 61% YoY, on the back of new model launches and steady production at Honda and Toyota.

Honda Civic & City combined contributed 2,655 units, while Toyota (Corolla, Yaris, Cross) sold over 2,655 units as well.

Sales in the 1000cc category (Suzuki Cultus and WagonR) grew nearly 80% YoY to 433 units in September 2025, compared to 241 units last year.

Cumulative 3MFY26 sales rose 52.5% YoY, reaching 1,216 units, supported by steady leasing demand and improved supply chain continuity.

MoM growth was flat, indicating capacity constraints after back-to-back strong months.

The below 1000cc segment, led by Suzuki Alto, Bolan, and Honri-VE, saw sales rise 44.6% YoY to 5,439 units in September 2025, from 3,761 units last year.

Alto remained the highest-selling model nationwide, driving most of the volume.

3MFY26 sales increased 29.7% YoY to 12,565 units, showing sustained small-car demand amid tighter purchasing power.

The LCV, Vans, and Jeeps category doubled YoY to 5,048 units, supported by strong performance of Toyota Hilux/Fortuner, Hyundai Tucson, and Sazgar SUVs.

3MFY26 sales climbed 72% YoY, aided by resilient demand in the light commercial segment and increased rural logistics activity.

Sales of trucks and buses declined sharply, dropping 27% YoY to 790 units in September, due to subdued industrial and transport activity.

Cumulative 3MFY26 sales stood at 2,981 units, 43% lower YoY, indicating persistent weakness in the commercial logistics sector.

Motorcycles and three-wheelers continued to dominate the overall market, with Honda, Road Prince, and United Auto driving sales.

September sales jumped 21% YoY to 158,941 units, while cumulative 3MFY26 volumes rose 35% YoY to 431,542 units, reflecting stable mobility demand in the low-income segment.
