The growth was primarily driven by strong performances in the 1,300cc and above category, where cumulative production rose from 14,373 to 24,242 units, while sales increased from 13,584 to 22,971 units.
Notably, Toyota (Corolla, Yaris & Corolla Cross) and Honda (Civic & City) maintained leadership in this segment, with Toyota accounting for a large portion of the 3,809 units produced and 3,742 units sold in October.
The 1,000cc category also showed stability, with Suzuki Cultus and Suzuki Swift together recording 1,548 units produced and 1,733 sold cumulatively since July.
However, below-1000cc cars, including Suzuki Alto and Suzuki Bolan, saw production dip slightly to 25,341 units, though sales remained firm at 18,012 units.
The jeeps and pickups segment continued its positive trend. Cumulative production for July–October 2025 climbed to 15,634 units, up from 10,991 units a year earlier, while sales jumped to 16,769 units from 10,068.
Models such as Toyota Fortuner and IMVs, Honda BR-V and HR-V, and Hyundai Tucson contributed significantly to this performance.
While passenger cars and SUVs performed well, the truck and bus segment reported a slowdown.
Cumulative production from July to October 2025 fell to 6,889 units, compared to 7,833 units in 2024. Sales similarly declined to 5,867 units, down from 6,939 units last year.
Farm tractor production also eased marginally, recording 8,945 units between July and October 2025, versus 6,220 units in the same period last year.
Sales, however, remained identical to production figures at 8,945 units, signaling a stable demand in the agricultural machinery market.
The two- and three-wheeler sector, a key volume driver in Pakistan’s auto industry, showed steady expansion.
Combined motorcycle and rickshaw production during July–October 2025 reached 600,102 units, compared to 456,193 units in 2024, marking a 31% year-on-year increase. Sales followed closely at 597,025 units, up from 457,880 last year.
Honda, United Auto, and Road Prince dominated this segment, contributing the majority of units.
