Bank Makramah approves Rs10bn sponsor investment

August 18, 2026 (MLN): Bank Makramah Limited (PSX: BML) has approved an investment proposal to inject a further Rs10bn into the bank.

The Board of Directors approved the proposal at its 159th meeting held on August 18, 2026.

The Board authorised the President/CEO to execute an agreement with the Sponsor, under which the Sponsor will deposit Rs10bn into the Bank.

The amount will be recorded in the Bank’s books as an advance against share subscription until regulatory and corporate approvals are obtained for the issuance of shares to the Sponsor through a mode other than right issue.

The aforementioned information was disseminated through a notification to Exchange.
