Baluchistan Wheels declares Rs10 dividend
MG News | August 20, 2026 at 12:35 PM GMT+05:00
August 20, 2026 (MLN): Baluchistan Wheels
Limited (PSX: BWHL) reported a virtually flat net profit for the fiscal year
ended June 30, 2026, recording Rs312.59m compared to Rs315.58m in the preceding
year.
Alongside the
financial results, the company announced a final cash dividend of Rs10 per
share.
Reflecting this mild 0.9% dip in bottom-line trajectory,
basic and diluted earnings per share (EPS) stood at Rs23.44 for the year,
compared to Rs23.67 in FY25.
The financial performance was characterized by a strong
top-line recovery that was largely absorbed by higher operating expenses and an
expanded tax outlay.
BWHL’s net turnover posted a 27% year-on-year surge,
reaching Rs2.92bn compared to Rs2.31bn in FY25.
Driven by effective cost management relative to sales
growth, the cost of sales grew by 20% to Rs2.09bn, allowing gross profit to
expand by 47% to settle at Rs830.76m up from Rs567.12m in the prior year.
On the operational front, overheads expanded alongside
increased market activity.
Administrative expenses rose 31% to Rs203.86m, while
selling and distribution expenses increased 28% to Rs86.27m.
Other operating expenses also grew 81% to Rs79.61m.
These rising outlays, coupled with a 26% decline in
"other income" (which dropped to Rs118.20m from Rs159.52m), moderated
gross margin gains, keeping operating profit growth at 26% (Rs579.22m).
Below the operating line, finance costs remained
minimal, rising slightly to Rs2.87m.
Driven by robust core operations, profit before taxation
grew by 26% to reach Rs576.35m compared to Rs456.39m in FY25.
However, the core operational gains were offset at the
final line by a substantial 87% increase in corporate tax outlays, which
reached Rs263.76m (up from Rs140.81m in FY25).
Supported by top-line revenue strength, Baluchistan
Wheels Limited securely closed the fiscal year with its net profit maintained
at Rs312.59m.
