BF Biosciences introduces Zeptide® (Tirzepatide) in Pakistan

October 14, 2025 (MLN): BF Biosciences Limited (PSX: BFBIO) has successfully launched its product Zeptide® (Tirzepatide) in an easy-to-use pre-filled syringe, the Company's filing on PSX revealed today. 

Tirzepatide is a synthetic polypeptide molecule that acts as a dual agonist for the GLP-1 and GIP receptors, meaning it targets both the glucagonlike peptide-1 (GLP-1) and glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) receptor pathways.

Tirzepatide is approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for treating type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and obesity.

Zeptide is manufactured at the Company's new state-of-the-art European prefilled syringes facility.

The pre-filled syringe is in a patient-friendly format that eliminates dosing errors.

Zeptide has been tested for quality, chemical structure and potency at the leading biological mass spectrometry facility in the US and at a leading national university in Pakistan.

The development of Zeptide® was part of the IPO proceeds utilization in the prospectus. Pakistan has the world's highest prevalence of diabetes.

Even more alarmingly, 9 million individuals living with diabetes remain undiagnosed, and half of those who do know struggle to manage it effectively.

According to the WHO, 57% of women and 41% of men in Pakistan are overweight or obese. Obesity increases the risk of Type 2 diabetes by 7 times.
