April 30, 2026 (MLN): Atlas Honda Limited (PSX: ATLH) reported a robust 38% surge in its net profit for the year ended March 31, 2026, reaching an impressive Rs21.12bn compared to Rs15.25bn in the preceding year.

Reflecting this powerful bottom-line growth, the company's basic and diluted earnings per share (EPS) jumped to Rs170.21 from Rs122.91 in SPLY.

The company also declared dividend at Rs56 per share.

The primary driver of this exceptional profitability was a massive top-line expansion combined with highly favorable cost dynamics.

ATLH’s net sales posted a stellar 34% year-on-year increase, rising to Rs273.93bn from Rs203.89bn.

Crucially, the cost of sales grew at a slower pace of 31%, settling at Rs237.68bn. Because revenue growth comfortably outpaced direct production costs, the company secured a spectacular 63% expansion in its gross profit, which climbed to Rs36.24bn from Rs22.18bn in the prior year.

On the operational front, overheads grew to support the higher sales volume. Sales and marketing expenses rose by 18% to Rs5.18bn, while administrative expenses increased by 16% to Rs1.51bn.

The company also faced a 53% spike in other operating expenses (Rs1.91bn) and a 25% drop in other income, which fell to Rs6.89bn from Rs9.19bn last year. However, the sheer magnitude of the gross margin expansion easily absorbed these pressures, driving the operating profit up by 41% to Rs34.61bn.

Below the operating line, finance costs remained negligible relative to earnings, though they did increase by 33% to Rs167.14m.

Propelled by the massive gross margin expansion, the profit before income tax surged by 43% to Rs34.41bn.

The company then absorbed a heavy 51% spike in its total income tax expense, which leaped to Rs13.28bn from Rs8.80bn. Despite this substantially higher tax burden, Atlas Honda securely closed the fiscal year with a 38% leap in final net profit, settling at Rs21.12bn.
