November 05, 2026 (MLN): Disbursements under the Prime Minister’s Apna Ghar Programme have crossed Rs100bn, reaching Rs104bn through 17,697 housing loans as of October 30, 2026, just six months after its formal launch.

Disbursements have risen 5x since June, from Rs21bn to Rs104bn, while financing approvals have grown 3.7x from Rs144bn to Rs533bn.

Banks have received 220,715 applications so far and approved 90,405 of them, an approval rate of 41%.

The figures were shared by Khurram Schehzad in a post on his X account.

He said the Ministry of Finance acknowledged the contributions of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the Pakistan Banks’ Association and all participating banks, along with the Ministry of Housing and Works, in turning the Prime Minister’s access to finance vision into reality under the Finance Minister’s leadership.

He described the milestone as a major step forward for affordable housing finance, financial inclusion and construction-led economic activity, bringing more families closer to owning a home.
