ATRL reports normalization of crude oil receipts, product dispatches

April 23, 2026 (MLN): Attock Refinery Limited’s (PSX:ATRL) crude oil receipts and product dispatches through oil tankers have begun to normalise following intervention and support from relevant authorities, with full operational resumption expected within the next few days.

The company stated that the situation, which had previously disrupted the movement of crude and finished products via oil tankers, is now stabilising, and normal operations are anticipated to return shortly.

The aforementioned information was disseminated through a notification to Exchange.

Earlier, ATRL had shut down its main crude distillation unit after transport disruptions linked to security measures in Islamabad curtailed both crude inflows and fuel dispatches.

The restrictions led to a sharp decline in crude oil receipts while simultaneously causing a buildup of refined product inventories.

As a result, the refinery had taken offline its primary unit, HBU-I, which has a processing capacity of 32,400 barrels per stream day (BPSD), until logistical conditions improve.
