AHL gets 90-day extension for EPCL offer

September 01, 2026 (MLN): Arif Habib Limited (AHL), Manager to the Offer, informed the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) and Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) that the Acquirer has extended the deadline for making the Public Announcement of Offer (PAO) for the proposed acquisition of 510,733,451 ordinary shares of Engro Polymer & Chemicals Limited (EPCL), representing 56.19% of its total issued and paid-up capital.
The Public Announcement of Intention (PAI) for the proposed
acquisition was published on March 12, 2026.
The Acquirer is currently undergoing the process of
obtaining regulatory approvals required to submit the PAO and will continue
efforts to expedite the process.
The deadline for issuing the PAO was September 08, 2026.
However, the Acquirer is exercising its right to extend the period for making
the PAO by a further 90 days pursuant to Regulation 7(1) of the
Listed Companies (Substantial Acquisition of Voting Shares and Takeovers)
Regulations, 2017.
Accordingly, the deadline for making the PAO has been
extended to December 07, 2026.
The aforementioned information was disseminated through a notification to
Exchange.
