AGIC plans restructuring of AskTech

April 21, 2026 (MLN): Askari General Insurance Company Limited (PSX: AGIC) has initiated a potential restructuring of its wholly owned subsidiary, AskTech (Pvt.) Ltd., as the company looks to reassess its group structure and operational strategy.

In a notice submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange, AGIC said its board of directors, in its 130th meeting, has directed management to develop a comprehensive restructuring proposal for AskTech.

The company did not disclose details regarding the scope, financial implications, or timeline of the proposed restructuring.

However, such moves typically signal an effort to improve operational efficiency, optimize capital allocation, or realign business focus within group entities.

AskTech operates as a fully owned subsidiary of AGIC, and any restructuring could involve changes to its business model, asset base, or organizational structure, subject to board approval once the proposal is finalized.
