196,934 tonnes cargo traded at Port Qasim

Five ships, CMA CGMG Al-Maviva,CMA CGM Nerval, Engiadina, Pacific Action and Bunga Lily carrying Containers, Cola, General cargo and Chemicals were arranged berthing at Qasim International Container Terminal, Pakistan International Bulk Terminal, Multi-Purpose Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal respectively on Thursday.

Meanwhile three more ships, Adamaslos, IVS Windsor and AL-Gattara with Containers, cola and LNG also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

A total of twelve ships namely, CMA CGM AL-Maviva, CMA CGM Nerval, Riva Wind, Soho Trader, Pacific Action, Maritime Setoshio, IVS Beach Wood, Engiadina,Bunga Lily, Thong Long, Alamanda and Red Eagle are currently occupying PQA berths to load/offload Containers, Wheat, Talc Powder, Project Cargo, Coal, Palm Kernal, Palm Oil and Diesel Oil respectively during last 24 hours.

Cargo handling remained upward trend at the port where a cargo volume of 196,934 tones, comprising 166,119 tonnes tonnes import cargo and 30,815 tonnes export cargo inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 3,800 containers (TEUs,) (3,100 TEUs imports and 700 TEUs exports) was handled during last 24 hours.

M.T Bunga Alamanda sailed out to sea on Friday morning, while four more ships Bunga Likely, Red Eagle, CMA CGM Al-Maviva and Engiagdina are expected to sail on same day.

Four ships Adamaslos, Uni Florida, Wealthy Bay and Al- Gattara carrying containers, palm oil and LNG are expected to take berths at QICT, LCT and EETL respectively on Friday. While containers vessels GSL Tianjin and Safmarine Ngami are due to arrive on Saturday and MS Tiger is due to arrive on Sunday, and MSC Maria Elena and Maglala are also due to arrive on Monday.
