January 12, 2026 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Monday's trading session at 182,384.14, showing a decrease of 2,025.53 points or 1.10%.

The index traded in a range of 2,135.50 points showing an intraday high of 184,439.06 (+29.39) and a low of 182,303.56 (-2,106.11) points.

The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 418.83 million shares.

 

Of the 100 index companies 18 closed up, 81 closed down, while 1 were unchanged.

Top losers during the day were AICL (-7.84%), SAZEW (-3.96%), KOHC (-3.83%), SYS (-3.55%), and GLAXO (-3.44%).

On the other hand, top gainers were NML (+6.72%), PTC (+5.95%), LOTCHEM (+4.31%), AGP (+1.52%), and BNWM (+1.19%).

 

In terms of index-point contributions, companies that dragged the index lower were SYS (-178.39pts), UBL (-166.59pts), MEBL (-163.14pts), ENGROH (-154.56pts), and FFC (-119.83pts).

Meanwhile, companies that added points to the index were PTC (+72.34pts), NML (+66.88pts), AKBL (+16.88pts), LOTCHEM (+16.38pts), and MTL (+11.87pts).

 

Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was let down by Commercial Banks (-573.46pts), Oil & Gas Exploration Companies (-246.28pts), Inv. Banks / Inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. (-181.18pts), Cement (-179.74pts), and Fertilizer (-174.73pts).

While the index was supported by Textile Composite (+47.10pts), Real Estate Investment Trust (+0.45pts), Woollen (+0.13pts), Sugar & Allied Industries (+0.05pts), and Leasing Companies (+0.01pts).

 

In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 109,499.62 with a net loss of 882.96 points or 0.80%.

Total market volume was 1,058.80 million shares compared to 1,033.85m from the previous session while traded value was recorded at Rs48.24 billion showing a decrease of Rs4.69bn.

There were 501,158 trades reported in 481 companies with 161 closing up, 284 closing down, and 36 remaining unchanged.

To note, the KSE-100 has gained 56,757 points or 45.18% during the fiscal year, whereas it has increased 8,330 points or 4.79% so far this calendar year.
