May 17, 2021 (MLN): Gold price witnessed a surge by Rs400 to settle at Rs106,450 per tola in the local market today against Rs10,600 per tola on the previous trading day.

According to the Karachi Sarafa Association, 10-gram gold inched up by Rs386 to close at Rs9,1264.

Similarly, the price of silver observed a positive trend as per tola silver increased by Rs40 to close at Rs1,420. Likewise, 10-gram silver was closed at Rs1217.42, up by Rs34.43. 

In the global market, gold prices edged higher by $18 to $1,849 per ounce, while silver was valued at $27.70 per ounce.
