According to latest figures released by All Pakistan Cement Manufacturer Association, domestic sales during the month of January went up by 37.30% to 3.736 million tons against 2.72 million tons during the same period last year.

Month on month, total north and south local sales and exports grew by more than 9% to clock in at 4.083 million tons against 3.73 million in December.

However, on the exports front, the cement sector outward exports went down by 7.82% to 346,669 tons against 376,071 tons last year.

Northern regions continues to lead in consumption, with a total of 3.018 million tons consumed in North of Pakistan against 718,767 tons in South. However, Southern producers continue to lead in exports with total exports during January, 2018 clocking at 112,500 tons against 95,282 tons last month.

Cumulative period between July – January, went up by 14.94% to clock in at 26.326 million.
