WorldCall, TUFA enter into an agreement for Fibre to the Home Service

June 08, 2021 (MLN): WorldCall Telecom Limited (WTL) has entered into a business collaboration agreement with TUFA Telecommunications (Pvt) Limited (TUFA) targeting Fiber to the Home (FTTH) service roll-out across Pakistan.

According to the notice issued to exchange, WTL’s existing subscribers will be upgraded to the FTTH platform upon initial deployment at a nominal cost.

This collaboration would roll out seamless broadband access by fully utilizing WTL's existing fibre-optic network. This business endeavor also aims at providing a major boost to a proliferation of affordable Broadband services for all segments of society.

WTL boasts of more than 1850 kilometers of fibre optic infrastructure deployed across 20 major cities with the ability to access the market of almost 3 million households for subscriber acquisition.

The company also plans to secure all subscriber operations through state-of-the-art blockchain technology that would open additional avenues of enablement for its subscribers. Blockchain architecture would further augment transparency in service delivery and transparency in subscriber management for all stakeholders.

WTL has the lowest conversion cost per subscriber for its FTTH roll-out. Business collaboration with TUFA would result in a fast-track service deployment at highly competitive rates.

Both parties are fully committed to making this business collaboration a roaring success, the notice said.
