Wheat from Russia to reach Pakistan within this month; ECC informed

November 10, 2020: Economic Coordination Committee has been informed that the wheat imported from Russia will reach Pakistan within this month and there will be no shortage of the commodity in the country.

The ECC, which met in Islamabad with Advisor on Finance Dr. Abdul Hafeez Shaikh in the chair, decided to constitute a subcommittee in consultation with provinces and other stakeholders to work out the total volume of subsidy involved on imported and local wheat.

It was also decided to form a Logistics Committee to resolve the day-to-day logistic issues of wheat import.
