Weekly SPI inches up by 0.19%

March 15, 2019 (MLN): Pakistan’s weekly Sensitive Price Index (SPI) for the combined group has registered a growth of 0.19% in the week ended March 15, 2019, whereas compared to last year, the SPI has increased by 12.23%.

Of the 53 monitored items, the average prices of 23 items increased while that of 11 items declined.

The average price of urea other than Sona urea currently stands at Rs.1, 751 per 50 kg bag which is 1.3% lower than last week’s price and 26.8% higher than last year.

Meanwhile, Cement price is currently quoted at Rs.604 per 50 kg bag, marginally lower than last week but 13% higher than last year’s price.
