Trucks and buses witness a fall in production by 15.14%

October 11, 2018 (MLN): According to the data released by Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA), domestic trucks production during the period from July-Sept decreased by 16.43% as about 2,049 trucks were assembled this year as compared to 2,452 trucks of same period last year.

However, truck production during month of July 2018 increased by 34.36% as 856 trucks were assembled this year as compared to 637 trucks of same month last year.

Isuzu Pakistan outnumbered rest of the manufacturers as it sold 801 units and produced 966 units during the period July-Sept 2018, whereas Hino Pakistan took the second lead by producing 712 units and selling 652 units during the same period.

During the period from July-Sept 2018, 281 buses were produced as compared to the production of 294 buses of corresponding period last year, whereas buses assembling in month of July was recorded at 108 this year as against 79 buses during same month of last year.

Hino Pakistan took the lead in sales and production as it produced 120 units and sold 103 units during the period July-Sept 2018, whereas Isuzu came second as it produced96 units and sold 90 units during the same period.
