The process for fast track development of ex FATA districts is in full swing: FM

24 June, 2021: Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Mr. Shaukat Tarin chaired a high level special meeting with a delegation of representatives of industries from ex-FATA areas at Finance Division on Thursday. The meeting was attended by Federal Minister for Defence Pervez Khattak, Federal Minister for Industries & Production Makhdum Khusro Bakhtyar, Advisor to PM on Commerce Abdul Razak Daood, SAPM on F&R, Chairman FBR and representatives of industries from ex-FATA districts.  

 

Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Mr. Shaukat Tarin during the meeting said that the present government under the leadership of Prime Minister of Pakistan is committed to peace, progress and prosperity in ex FATA districts. Peace and prosperity in ex-FATA districts is imperative for the rest of the country. As per vision of the Prime Minister, after merger of ex FATA into Khyber Pakhtunkhawa province, the process for fast track development of ex FATA districts is in full swing. Industries are vital for development of any area. The Prime Minister has expressly directed to resolve all issues confronting industries in Ex-FATA districts. As per directions of the Prime Minister, heads and relevant officials of all concerned ministries have joined the meeting for prompt solution to issues of industries in ex-FATA districts.

 

Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Mr. Shaukat Tarin further said that after current meeting, he himself will hold more meetings with representatives of industries from ex-FATA on regular basis till all issues are settled. The Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue directed all the concerned departments including Chairman FBR to hold follow up meetings with the representatives of industries from ex-FATA districts to solve all their issues and present a report during next meeting.

 

The representatives of industries from ex-FATA district thanked the Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue for his patronage for settlement of their issues.
