Stronger US dollar continues to weigh on precious metal

March 25, 2021 (MLN): A stronger US dollar continued to weigh on the precious metal, as the gold rates in international market on Thursday came down further by $2 and traded at $1,730 an ounce, while silver was valued at $24.9 an ounce compared to $25.30 an ounce in yesterday’s session.

In the domestic bullion market, the price of single tola 24 karat gold fell by Rs 350 to settle at Rs 106,850 per tola against the price of Rs 107,200 per tola reported yesterday, data provided by Karachi Sarafa Association revealed.

Similarly, the price of 10-gram of 24-karat gold also dropped by Rs 300 to Rs 91,607 as opposed to Rs 91,907 in the previous session.

 On the other hand, the price of silver remained static as 24-Karat silver per tola and 10-gram were available at Rs 1,370 and Rs 1,174.55 respectively.
