SBP Receives USD 991.40 Million from the IMF

July 10, 2019 (MLN): Pakistan has received the USD 991.4 Million from the IMF.

According to a press release by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), it received the first tranche, which is equivalent to SDR 716 million.

The IMF Executive Board had approved the USD 6 Billion 39-Month Extended Fund Facility (EFF) Arrangement for Pakistan on July 03, 2019 and promised to release the first tranche of USD 1 Billion in the next couple of days to help boost Pakistan’s Forex Reserves.
