Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs calls on PM

ISLAMABAD, Mar 7: Prime Minister Imran Khan Thursday recalling the landmark February 17-18 visit of Saudi Crown Prince to Pakistan, expressed the confidence that decisions regarding release of 2107 Pakistani prisoners and increase in Hajj quota to 200,000 would be implemented in a smooth and timely manner.

He was talking to Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Adel Al Jubeir, who called on him here. The Saudi Minister was on a one-day visit to Pakistan, to follow up on the visit of Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman.

Expressing satisfaction over the progress towards medium and long-term economic and investment cooperation, he hoped that the newly launched Saudi-Pakistan Supreme Coordination Council would help build a comprehensive, tangible and result oriented relationship between the two countries.

Adel Al Jubeir conveying sincere wishes of Saudi Crown Prince to the leadership and people of Pakistan expressed deep appreciation for Pakistan's peace overtures to normalize current situation.

He acknowledged the role played by Pakistan for regional peace and stability.
