May 15, 2023 (MLN): Foreign exchange inflows through Roshan Digital Account (RDA) reached $6.102 billion in April, 2023, since it’s inception, the latest data released by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) showed today.
Inflows during April were $136 million showing a decrease of $19m compared to the previous month in which inflows were recorded at $155m.
The data further revealed that $3.815bn was invested in Naya Pakistan Certificates (NPCs) while a $50m investment has been observed in the equity market through RDA.
Conventional and Islamic NPCs received $20m and 47m fresh investment during the month.
Total investment in Conventional NPC was $1.894bn while the investment in Islamic Certificates was $1.921bn.
The total amount received during the current financial year was $1.496bn compared to $2.605bn in the corresponding period of the previous year.
During the month of April, 12,172 new accounts were opened taking the total number of accounts opened to 561,617.
Notably, the highest monthly inflow into RDA was recorded in June 2021, during which inflows of $310m were received.
