The index today went through a bearish session today after HBL, UBL, OGDC AND Lucky cement trimmed 100 index by 295 points.

In the currency markets, Dollar at Interbank market falls 27 paisa to Rs. 121.46 on the other hand Dollar in the open market went up Rs 0.50 to Rs. 125.

Commodity wise Gold prices in domestic market falls by Rs. 200 to Rs. 59,200/per tola. Furthermore, in the Steel market domestic market up by Rs. 3000 to Rs. 7000/ton. Steel Bar price for the first time crossed the Rs. 100,000/per ton mark as well.

In other news, SECP released anti-money laundering and counter terror financing regulations keeping in view the FATF meeting in the coming week.

Volume traded at KSE – 100 index remained decreased during today’s session after total volume clocked in at 91.492 million versus 63.292 million yesterday.

Commercial Banks, Cement and Oil & Gas Exploration Companies during today’s session were at the bottom today after collectively taking away more than 421.02 points.

Sector-wise all share index top sector turnover was led by Commercial Banks (18.664 million), Technology & Communication (18.626 million) and Chemical (14.160 million).

KSE – 100 Index at the day end moved a total of 680.01 points down by 1.56 percent, closing in at 43,002.83 with index high – low range of 43746.21 – 42954.89.

KSE – All Share Index Volume was at 136.295 million shares, the value of shares traded for all-shares index reached PKR 6.908 billion.

The index moved in the range of 791.32 points.

17 companies closed up, whereas 65 were down at the day end.
